Nkuku Halali Kadai Fire Bowl & Surround
Make a focal point with the Halali Kadai Fire Bowl. This statement piece is generously proportioned and crafted from solid iron. The traditional fire bowl shape is surrounded by a striking and practical table edge. When the fire bowl is in use and at its hottest temperature, the surround may become warm to the touch, so it’s not the best place to keep a glass of rose cool, but it provides a useful space to put drinks glasses, plates etc. The fire bowl includes a grill for barbecuing.
The Kadai fire bowls are only suitable for outdoor use. Do not use in an enclosed area or building or under an overhead structure. Never use spirit or petrol when lighting your Kadai fire bowl. Only light with certified firelighters. Warning: A Kadai fire bowl will get very hot in use. Do not touch without heat proof gloves. Please ensure it has cooled fully before handling. Keep children and pets out of reach.
How to care for your Kadai fire bowl: After use it is advisable to clean the grill with a wire brush and hot soapy water, then dry with a cloth. You can apply a cooking oil to help protect the grill, then store in a dry place. Our fire bowls are made from iron, a robust and long-lasting material. To prolong the look of your fire bowl we recommend putting it under cover during the winter months. Remove stagnate rainwater regularly to prevent rusting. As with the grill the fire bowl can be rubbed down with wire brush. A fire bowl can be used with both wood and charcoal.

Why We Love Nkuku
Founded on the back of a life-changing adventure, Nkuku was created by Ali & Alex Cooke after a year-long round the world trip. From the outset they were humbled by the talented craftspeople and their beautiful work, so inspired in fact that upon their return they decided to move from the city of London to rural Devon. They began working with artisans from around the world, supporting and celebrating their skills by bringing their products to a wider audience.
The name Nkuku comes from a village in Zambia, the place where the Cooke’s wrote their business plan on the cover of a paperback book. That was the inspiration for their first product, the stylish leather journals they still sell today. Although Nkuku has evolved since it was founded in 2003, they still have the same hands-on approach, meeting and working with their artisan makers personally, this enables them to guarantee that every product has a story to tell.
We fell in love with the Nkuku brand when at a trade show back in 2019, their unique homewares caught our eye instantly, never had we seen such unique, quality products. You really can see the diversity in their products, whether it’s a handwoven throw or an industrial dinning table, their products ooze culture. Nkuku makes it simple to add visual interest and adventurous culture to your home. One of the main reasons we are proud to stock the Nkuku brand is the fact that all of their products are ethically made, eco-friendly and hand-made. Nkuku’s approach to design fit’s seamlessly with our own ethos, they use materials that will stand the test of time, shapes, textures and patterns that will stay relevant across seasons. Ultimately, Nkuku wish to offer items you will cherish for years to come, eliminating the ‘fast-fashion’ approach to homewares.
